The different ways you can make contributions to your NSSF account
There are different ways you can make contributions to your NSSF account:
- Payroll Deduction – This is the easiest and most convenient way to contribute to your NSSF account. Your employer will deduct a fixed amount from your salary each month and send it to NSSF on your behalf.
- Standing Order – This is another easy way to contribute. You can visit your bank and request that they send a fixed amount of money every month to NSSF on your behalf.
- Self Deduction – If you are self-employed, this allows you to make regular contributions into the NSSF account directly from your business earnings. Simply complete an EFT form and submit it to your nearest NSSF office.
- Third-Party deduction – This is when someone other than the member (e.g. a friend or relative) makes contributions into the account on behalf of the member. The third-party must have a letter from the member authorizing him/her to make these contributions.
- Online Payment – You can also make online payments into your NSSF account by visiting the NSSF website and clicking on ‘Online Services’.
